Last week, the largest ever conference within the Hultafors Group was held, when close to 280 colleagues met in Västerås, Sweden.

The conference was a way for colleagues from all over Europe to meet, talk about the year ahead and also get a look at new products from all the Hultafors Group brands.

On the first day, around 70 managers met to discuss strategy and future efforts to continue the very positive trend from the last few years, and Ole Jødahl also talked about our Group strategy. In the afternoon, a workshop was held to promote innovative strategy development, led by an external business coach. Many buzzing, creative discussions could be heard in the different groups.

More colleagues joined on the second day to hear presentations from the different BUs, as well as Torbjörn’s thoughts and visions about the commercial direction of Hultafors Group.
During the afternoon, smaller and shorter sessions were held, where the new digital workspace was introduced, the importance of being an attractive workplace was discussed and Hultafors Group’s very important CSR work was presented.

The grand finale of the day was a stunning show of many existing and new products from all the BUs, performed by professional dancers and performers, who put on an impressive show.

The third day meant a closer look at and presentation of new launches for all the brands, and everyone had a chance to look and feel, as well as ask questions about the new, exciting products coming out.

The venue for this conference was the Steam Hotel, an old steam power plant, which was recently redeveloped and made into a hotel and conference center. With its rustic, spacious setting, featuring large steel beams and bare brick walls, as well as an impressive exterior by the Mälaren waterfront in Västerås, it clearly reflects a proud Swedish heritage of industry and production – very fitting for a company like Hultafors Group.
